  1. Disk No: 1767
  2. Disk Title: Zipkey
  3. PC-SIG Version: S2.06
  4.
  5. Program Title: Zipkey
  6. Author Version: 2.06E
  7. Author Registration: $30.00
  8. Special Requirements: Hard drive recommended.
  9.
  10. With ZIPKEY no one with a PC will ever again have to manually type in
  11. the name of a United States city or town (at least not one big enough to
  12. have its own zipcode).
  13.
  14. When run as an ordinary program, ZIPKEY allows you to instantly access
  15. any of the 43000+ zipcodes in the directory by searching by zipcode, by
  16. state-and-city, or by city-only.  But ZIPKEY is at its best when
  17. installed permanently in memory.  In this "memory-resident" mode, you
  18. can invoke ZIPKEY from within any other program (a wordprocessor, a
  19. database manager, etc.).  You can type just a 5-digit zipcode, and
  20. ZIPKEY will fool the program you're running into thinking that you have
  21. typed any or all of the following: the city name, the state name and/or
  22. abbreviation, the zipcode, and any other combination of fixed
  23. keystrokes.  This "keystroke output" can be in any format you wish.
  24.
  25. ZIPKEY is completely configurable.  You can specify any combination of
  26. keystrokes (the "hotkey") that will invoke ZIPKEY.  You can also
  27. specify
  28. alternate hotkeys to allow differing configurations of ZIPKEY to be
  29. available at the same time.
